Hi Mum, I meant to send you a Christmas Wish and Kiss on your site but things got a bit crazy around December and we lost 3 people who were close to us. I knew you were with us over the festive season though and Daz and I tried our best to get Dad animated on Christmas Day. I stayed up late on Christmas Eve to make you a huge beautiful bouquet of roses mixed with laurel from A & C's garden, ferns, bay and foliage from my garden and more bay and Rosemary from your garden. I also got you a beautiful fun Christmas spruce wreath with apples, and sparkly fruit on it because I know you love all the glitter and excitement of the festive season. We spent New Year's Eve in Snowdonia and just after midnight when I had gone outside to look at the mountains in the moonlight, I was just standing thinking of you staring up at the stars in the sky when I saw a big shooting star. It felt like it was meant to be. I miss you so much Mum and I still feel like you're going to come home at any minute. In my head you're like moominmama in the lighthouse and you've just stepped in to the picture to take a quick nap behind the apple tree. I can't see you but I know you're there. I don't really know whether I will ever be able to feel truly happy again without you, but I mustn't end this on a downbeat note. I love you so very, very much my lovely smiley Mum.
